True friends

The language of friendship is not words but meanings.
– Henry David Thoreau

I have limited number of friends, because I have unlimited trust to limited number of people.

The More Friends You Have, the Better?

Quality is what counts in friendship, not quantity. Besides that, you can only realistically manage so many friends in your life well. You have a limited number of hours in the day and have to nurture your friendships in order to keep them strong.
You’ll instinctively know if you need more friends when you feel lonely or end up doing a lot of things by yourself. Until then, don't worry about the number of people in your life and focus instead on being a good friend yourself.
Never create unnecessary drama, and don’t surround yourself with those who do. Choose friends who you are proud to know, people you admire, who love and respect you – people who make your day a little brighter simply by being in it.

You become like the five people you spend the most time with. Choose carefully.

Yes, that means that if you persistently hang around a bunch of rude, angry people, you will eventually end up rude and angry. Yes, this also means that if you hang around overweight, unfit people, eventually, you will become overweight and unfit, too.One of the fastest ways to get to where you want to go – to become who you want to become, is to surround yourself with people who are already where you want to be. If you surround yourself with what some would term ‘shallow’ and/or egocentric women who are bitchy; you’ll end up becoming like that, too.

No one is perfect.

People say, ‘Find good people and let go of the bad ones.’ But it should be, ‘Find the good in people and let go of the bad.’ No one is perfect.

Remember when someone told you that quote "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" ? Well then Live it! Embrace that theory and accept nothing less. Once you have resolved to do the work and cut them loose, your life will feel like a tornado for a bit. You will have a few more fights and some explaining to do. These people enjoy walking all over you, so when you disappear from the radar they will want to know why. You can simple tell them that they make you feel bad about yourself and you don't want to feel that way anymore. That you are moving your life and person to a positive path and would rather focus on that, than the hurt and drama that they bring to you. They will not be happy. They will not understand. They will try to convince you otherwise. Stand up for yourself and tell them no. This is the decision you have made and will accept nothing less than pleasant people, quality experiences, and fulfilling relationships. Chances are they will walk away, angry, but still walking away. Then there you are, ready to move to the next happy relationship, all the while knowing what you want from it. ~voices.yahoo.com (Heather Prinz)

Fake vs. Real Friends

Something that we learn a lot about as we get older is who are our real friends and who are fake friends.
It takes time to learn the difference between a real friend and a friend that will not be around for long. Today we will give you some tips so that you will be able to identify who is a real friend and who is not.
Think about the worst time that you have had in your life. Now think about the people who were there for you. These are people who were real friends. People who were there for you when times got tough.
Now think about friends who are always asking you for things. Friends who want to borrow clothes, make-up, jewelry...and then when you ask them for something, they don't want to lend it to you. There could be two things going on here. 1: they are not real friends. 2: their parents won't let them lend things out. You have to be careful when classifying these friends.
Also keep in mind that a REAL friend alway keeps a secret. If your friend shares your secrets with other people, she is not a good friend. Friendship is based on trust.
The other thing to look for is how a friend keeps in touch. Real friends stay in contact. They call, they email, they check in. This can fluctuate if both of you are busy, but the consistency is there. ~ wambie.com

When I count my blessings I count you twice.

I don't know what I would do without my friends! They are blessings sent directly from God to me and I cherish each one. Even the bible speaks that often times a friend is closer than a "brother". (Or sister in my case!). IF you are one of my friends and reading this, thank you for being in my life!

I wish you a sense of gratitude, thankfulness for all that you've been blessed with in this life, all the things that you have, all the people you know, the food that you eat, the possibilities that you have.

I read this and it made me think about what I wanted for my friends. After seeing this I knew that this was it. I didn't write it but for all my friends. Ones I haven't met as well as the ones I have. I hope that each one of you takes this to heart and will do everything in your power to embrace this little poem I found...
