No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

 

Furthermore, no one can really make you feel inferior without your consent and no one can also make you feel superior with your acknowledgement.

 

The truth is, whatever people do or say or think about you, they are useless if you do not entertain them. 

 

But the moment you do something as a reaction to what they say, that is the time you allowed yourself to be hurt and be controlled by them. 

 

Do not give your permission. Do not give your consent. Do not allow them to hurt you just like that. And more importantly, do not allow yourself to become a negative person just because of those negative people surrounding you.
